A picture is worth a thousand words. A satellite image is worth a million dollars - Sarah Parcak

GeoGecko is one of our trusted clients on GIS Matters, we worked with Bernard Wright on numerous projects and this one right here is our latest one. They needed to Calculate the NDVI of a 22sq km Farm at two different time periods.
The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is a simple graphical indicator that can be used to analyze remote sensing measurements, typically but not necessarily from a space platform, and assess whether the target being observed contains live green vegetation or not.
To follow the evolution of his crops, we calculated the NDVI for both August & October of 2016. And then provided a 3rd map combining both results with analyses and the latest Satellite Image of the Farm.
